Greetings to you all,

After overcoming the long barrier of COVID-19, it is a pleasant season as we return to our routines after five years. This year, the 38th Spring Integrated Academic Conference of the Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery will be held in collaboration with the 4th annual meeting of Asian Association for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (AAPCHS), from Friday, May 31st to Saturday, June 1st, 2024.

It will take place in Dragon City Hotel, located in Yongsan, Seoul, Korea, featuring AAPCHS international sessions, society-planned sessions, subcommittee presentations, research society lectures, and Korean Medical Association sessions. Participation in the Spring Integrated Academic Conference is included for those who register for the AAPCHS conference, and a separate registration site for the Spring Integrated Academic Conference will be available for members attending only this event. Planned sessions include discussions on important society issues related to surgery fees, material fees, and material procurement. Government officials, public institutions, and health insurance representatives will be invited to discuss these issues and implement policies accordingly.

Even though it is a tough time to struggle with the government regarding medical policy issue, we ask for your active participation and keen interest in the Spring Integrated Academic Conference, which will be held offline for the second time in five years. Your valuable participation will contribute to the success of the conference. The Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in collaboration with AAPCHS and the brand-new Thoracic Surgery Future Forum will do our utmost to make a significant leap forward during these challenging times. Additionally, we wish for the successful hosting of the 4th AAPCHS annual meeting.
