Background : Partial anomalous venous connection (PAPVC) is a rare congenital heart disease where the blood flow from one or more pulmonary veins (but not all) returns to the right atrium or systemic venous circulation and is often associated with atrial septal defect (ASD). Several patterns of anomalous pulmonary venous drainage have been described in the literature, and bilateral PAPVC has been described as a rare congenital cardiac anomaly.

Results : We report an unusual type of bilateral PAPVC, involving superior and inferior right pulmonary veins and only inferior left pulmonary vein draining into the coronary sinus while superior left pulmonary vein draining normally into left atrium in a neonate who was diagnosed at preterm echocardiography. Surgical repair was performed 46 days after birth. Under cardiopulmonary bypass, coronary sinus was unroofed and ASD and coronary sinus os were patchy closed together. The postoperative course was uneventful.
